Well.....the bill in question that this is trying to fix completely failed (note it says if said bill was signed into law), so I don't really see a need for this bill Tongue

Just weighing in here (because I'll push for it when it gets to the Senate regardless), but voting in both normal and special Senate elections should be explicitly added to the law in terms of resetting the missed elections clock. They are federal offices, after all; just because they're held regionally doesn't change that. It's sad that there are some people who have voted in one or more recent special Senate elections yet are in danger of being de-registered in the next presidential election.
