Safe R. Why are pollsters still wasting their money here?

Baker has a wider margin lead than Warren at this point, though she will probably outperform him. Again, will he break 60%?

When it clicked on this thread, it looked like "Baker +3", and I knew that couldn't be right, lol. Anyway, Safe R, nothing to see here.

Safe R, nothing interesting whatsoever. The only question is whether Baker can break 60%.

Suffolk is a MA pollster and this is their first poll of the race. If they fail to poll it at all, they risk losing credibility.

My fervently progressive aunt, who participated in the Women’s March twice and has a “Hate Doesn’t Have a Home Here” sign in her yard, believes that “Charlie Baker is the best governor that Massachusetts has ever had.” She was also a Coakley 2014 voter.

That is something. If Baker is getting voters like your aunt over to his side, than a landslide victory is all but assured. It is astonishing that a Republican governor could be doing so well in a Democratic state, in a Trump midterm. But it's not unprecedented, because I know that Massachusetts's neighbor, Connecticut, reelected its Republican governor in a landslide back in 2006, which was another Democratic year.

4/6 elections have been won by GOP. Dems haven't had a real candidate aside from Deval, other than Shannon O Brian.
