Kemp is definitely going to consolidate a huge share of the non-Cagle/Kemp vote, whether it makes sense from an ideological perspective or not. Like I've said before, Kemp is arguably the more moderate of the two outside of their campaign track-records, but I don't expect most GOP voters know this.

However, mainline GAGOP voters are lobotomized and tend to pick the candidate that has more establishment backing and/or runs the more moderate campaign, and that precedent sets Cagle up for a narrow victory...even if Kemp would be a better ideological fit based on his tenure in office.

Anything can happen in a July run-off, but I'm betting that post-Obama right-wing activist energy has ran out (another good thing for Cagle's sake).

I would love nothing more than for Cagle to be knocked out of the running never even making it to the General. You can see the lust for power in his eyes so that he can run this state as the right wing ideologue he is. Rooting for Kemp, because at least I don’t have the desire to punch his face when I see it on television.

Cagle isn't that much stronger than Kemp. Abrams still has a good chance of winning against Cagle, although Kemp would still be an easier opponent.

Cagle is actually even further right than Kemp, Kemp just gets more attention because he pointed a gun at a teenager in an ad.
