What do google advertisements think you are?

The google ads that I'm being targeted with think that I'm a wealthy(like in the millions) and run a business. I keep getting advertisements for flyers and crap too. It also thinks that I'm single and says that I need a lady. Oh, and on a side note, It at least knows that I'm really, really into politics.

Some of the ads also target me for specific issues as well. I get a lot of adds for early voting registration(even though I'm too young to vote yet) and get ads about running a marijuana farm. some other ads also targets me for the legalization of marijuana too.

Someone said to me the other day (and i think it's garbage) that they had ads targetted towards them based purely on their phone conversation.

So Google recorded what they were saying and targetted ads towards them based on their expressed wants and needs.

As for me, i get electric basses and guitars thrown at me.

There is actual evidence of Facebook recording conversations and displaying ads relevant to audibly expressed interests, naturally without explicit permission. So there's nothing irrational about being a bid of a paranoid when it comes to ad tracking.
