I wish JD ran somebody in this race. We can do better than Angus King.
>Zak Ringelstein

I love Ringelstein but I wish they had recruited somebody who was a strong candidate. Ringelstein really isn't getting anywhere...

The uber-progressive bench isn't that deep here.

I thought the dance video of him was pretty endearing, 'oh this is an Repub pol I could like as a human.' But of course he turns out to be a race baiting xenophobic Trumper like so many other Republicans these days.

Wow, was Eric's most recent paycheck lower this month? I'm trying to figure out what this guy is so economically anxious about.

The libertarian-to-fascist pipeline strikes again.

Can't wait to watch him loss miserably. Adding Angus King to one of the victories I'm most excited for.

Really want Ringelstein to finish in front of him. Won't happen, but it would be very satisfying.

Will Angus carry Bruce's district?

Ringelstein will take 10% of the vote, doing three points worse than Cynthia Dill did in 2012, despite running a much more visible (but much less party-backed) campaign.

Brakey hasn't conceded yet, which is so typical.

Angus had a moustache-shaped cake at his victory party.

King is currently doing two points better than he was in 2012, and Brakey is doing five points better than Charlie Summers did in 2012. The extra percentage comes from three fewer independents on the ballot this cycle, who collectively took three points in 2012.

It appears Angus will lose a county for the first time since his very first election in 1994: he will lose Piscataquis, the most GOP county in New England, as well as Somerset, the county to the immediate west. Brakey will win both, embarrassingly.
