I think he would be a Conservative Democrat considering his views on Abortion, Taxes,  and Foreign Policy

You can apply this to 90% of Democrats/Republicans from the past "if they were still alive today," IMO: they would have slowly morphed their cultural views to match the primary electorate of their party while keeping the same basic "conservative" or "liberal" philosophy.  Bill Clinton doesn't say the stuff he said in the 1990s anymore for obvious reasons, and yet he remains a loyal Democrat.  If he had died in 2000, there would no doubt be some Atlas virgins talking about how he would be a Republican today.

Actually, he was very ANTI-communist.  Oswald was a communist and killed him for exactly that reason.

In my mind, he didn't remove the Soviet Union from the face of the planet when he should have so he's a communist

He'd be a liberal Democrat. The only conservative thing about JFK was that he was cautious. He only barely beat Nixon so he didn't want to go too far to the left. But most of his policy positions and his inclinations were liberal.

Clinton definitely would be a conservative Democrats now or at any point in the Democratic History Post 1896. He literally had ads telling how he wasnt a liberal and how he was tough on crime, hated deficts and supported welfare reform(all of which he did as president)

He'd simply be a run-of-the-mill "New Democrat" IMO.

To further elaborate, every president from at least Warren G. Harding onwards would still be in the same party today as they originally were back in their days. However, Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower wouldn't stand much of a chance of getting nominated by their respective parties again in today's politial climate, since the former would most likely be a Blue Dog and the latter a Huntsman/Schwarzenegger-style moderate Republican.

If I remember correctly, Ted Kennedy was similar to JFK initially, but by the end of his term, he had become known for his more left-wing positions. In addition, Jimmy Carter seems to have become more left-wing since his presidency. Chances are JFK would've evolved in the same way.

JFK was a standard New Deal Liberal. If he was around today, he would be a standard Modern Liberal Democrat. Also, what hillgoose said is very accurate.
