I would hold my nose and vote Cuomo. We don't need more celebrities getting into politics.

Nixon.

If Cuomo was running for for a second term instead of a third, I'd be undecided.

Probably Cuomo. I don't love the nepotism surrounding papa / Andrew Cuomo, but I like even less this trend where famous and wealthy people think they can just jump into high office without putting in the work at lower levels of government to understand how it works.

Nixon as a protest vote against Cuomo, unless it looks like she might actually win, in which case probably some other candidate or no vote. Not a fan at all of celebrity candidacies for high offices, but I don't want to vote for Cuomo.

Proudly vote Nixon. Her lack of qualifications is slightly concerning, but Cuomo’s terribleness far outweighs it.

Nixon. Mainly as anti-Cuomo vote for his ethical shortcomings. I wish Cuomo would just retire and there was a better Democratic candidate like Congresswoman Kethleen Rice or Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

This is more or less what I’d weigh. If Cuomo was being challenged by, say, Stephanie Miner, then the choice would be very simple

I’ll probably vote for Nixon unless it looks like she might actually win. Cuomo is arrogant, corrupt, and entitled, but Nixon is probably not the answer.

I'd vote for Nixon. While I don't want Democrats to nominate a celebrity for president, I wouldn't mind voting for one for lower level / statewide offices. The presidency is a much more difficult job.

Nixon. Overall i don't hate Cuomo. He may be a slimy son of a bitch, or a average politician, but at least he was pushed enough too implement some progressive policy's. However he is too much of a pragmatist for such a blue state. I understand the IDC is holding him back but Cuomo is very much a moderate masquerading as a liberal who'd rather position himself nationally as a "resistance" liberal  for future ambitions then too actually fight and combat a uncooperative House and Senate. Cynthia Nixon is probably not the answer. She seems like another shall i say "Liberal Manhattan Elite" who sees the age of Trump as the opportunity too make a run for it. She may be seasoned in politics but she needs at least to work and understand government first before entering the highest position in the state. But if she is the only one who (from here to the 2018 NY Democratic Gubernatorial Primary) stands up too Cuomo, i could vote for it. And that is only because i see she has a chance and, if she sticks too Progressive principles, able too bring an end to the masquerading whether for the good or worse.

It’d be a really tough choice for me. Not a fan of Cuomo, but there has to be a better way to stand up to the current Democratic Party leadership than to run celebrities with no experience.

Nixon, solely because it would mean Cuomo wouldn't be nominated in 2020.

Also, the general could be absolutely insane, especially if Cuomo or DeFrancisco lose their primaries, because of the endorsements of the NY third parties. We could plausibly have a seven-way election: Nixon (D) vs. Molinaro (R) vs. Cuomo (Independence/Women's Equality) vs. DeFrancisco (Conservative) vs. Giambra (Reform) vs. Sharpe (Libertarian) vs. whoever the Greens nominate.
