Harding was a pretty good president-for the time he was in office.  I'd say between Nixon and George W. Bush, but Hoover was bad too.

Yeah, you can change your avatar to Democrat now.

You oppose the other tax cuts? Change your avatar to Democrat immediately.

The 2003 taxcuts I don't support.  The 2001 were what was needed at the time being to help spur economic growth during the recession.  Since that time, the federal deficit has been rising very quickly.  There's really no point in making additional tax cuts when you're in deficit because the deficit will need to get paid back eventually anyways.

And no, I will not change my avatar to the party that supports excessive regulation, minimum wage laws, mediscare, gun control, and Ted Kennedy.

Heck A18, even Alan Greenspan didn't approve of the 2003 cuts.

Hey, I just figure George Bush isn't more fiscally responsible than the Democrats he considered "tax and spend" last year when his economic policy revolves around "spend and spend".  I think it's as fiscally irresponsible for me to advocate digging a deficit as it does taxing everyone.

Does this make me a Democrat?

Tax cuts lead to larger deficits which lead to slower growth in spending. Pretty simple.

You just posted an article saying spending has grown more than under any other president.

It may have grown more without the tax cuts.

But in the long term, there's no pressure to slow the growth of spending unless you have deficits.

Perhaps. But in general, "starving the beast" doesn't really work.

hey, Gabu told me to denounce extreme libertarianism and become an moderate.  Until he grants me my freedom, I shall stay an unopinionated, boring, moderate.  (It's all in fantasy politics).  Tell Gabu to release me if you want me yellow again.

No.  George Bush is not a very good example of a non-Dem.
