Let's say that Mary Throne loses the gubernatorial race in Wyoming and Gary Trauner loses the Senate race (very likely). Does he have plans to run for governor in the future?

I suspect this is his last hurrah. Trauner isn't a spring chicken any more, and this will be his third high-profile race.

Is there a particular reason as to why we're expected to know who these people are?

Because you are on a political forum and we're discussing well known Wyoming Democrats.

If you're going to be a smartass and turn your nose up at discussing politics, maybe a political forum isn't the right place for you.

He's 59 and will be 63/64 in 2022. Governors being elected n their early-mid sixties is pretty common.
