Strange, I've never seen women chasing teenage boys up and down the road, and I live in a pretty strange neighborhood.

I'll go out on a limb and say that it's pretty unlikely any self-respecting woman had ever chased him down the road to grab his ass.

He's still so salty about it that he decided to become a pastor so he could chase them down the road to grab their ass

Maybe they've all been caught. Smiley

When the GOP, and the politics of division from which it both incites and draws support, is gone.

Both sides sow division for their own purposes. the GOP is worse at it though

"Both sides do it." Only a privileged person would view social justice advocacy as "sowing division." It's about promoting equality and righting past and present wrongs. If that causes division because segments of the populace dislike their privilege challenged then so be it.

I'm sure there are female sexual predators, and I've never seen the reverse of what you mentioned.

Despite that, it's clear that this guy is just trying to defend Moore rather than bring up any actual facts.

If I quoted Rev. Jesse Jackson's comment in 1984 in which he referred to New York City as "Hymietown" and called this "Black Evangelism in a nutshell.", what would your reaction be?Truthfully, your comment is no better than such a statement.

That being said, we are seeing the fruits of the politicization of the Gospel from Rev. Raddish, and from liberal theologians in Alabama (who are quoted in a letter linked to the article this thread is about.  The liberal preachers are, as usual, wrong in implying that, somehow, God is OK with abortion, homosexuality, etc.  He's not OK with that if you go by Scripture.  But the Raddishes of the Evangelical World, while Biblically correct on what practices (not people) Scripture condones and condemns, are Modern-Day Pharisees and Saducees, preaching not the Gospel of Grace, but the Law (which Scripture, itself, calls the Ministry of Death).  It is real hard to see Jesus in Rev. Raddish's stump speaking, and while it may well be true that the election of Roy Moore, in and of itself, may result in the advancement of public policy more in line with the Word of God and the Will of God for America, I do not believe that God wills for this to come about at the price of the Name of Jesus being obscured by the name of a man, regardless of that man's virtue or vice.

One reason I am, more or less a Republican these days, and not a Democrat, is because Christians are supposed to bend their political ideology to conform to the Word of God and the Will of God; they are not to distort Scripture and Evangelic effort to conform to secular political opinions.  Jesus did not come to Earth as a Man, suffer, bleed, die, descend, defeat Satan, rise again, ascend to Heaven with the promise of returning, and send His Holy Spirit for the purpose of advancing a Worldly Kingdom.  (Although Jesus WILL rule this World for 1,000 years when he does return, prior to the final defeat of Satan and the Establishment of the New Heaven and the New Earth.)  Jesus did all this so that sinful man could be forgiven, and stand blameless before a Perfect and Holy God, and belief in His Death and Resurrection is the only way that will happen for any individual.

THIS IS THE GOSPEL!!! Nothing else.  Not Souls to the Polls.  Not the promise of a Supreme Court that will jettison Roe v. Wade.  Not even "Family Values" (and God ordained the Family LONG BEFORE He ordained the Church).  Activities such as Rev. Raddish's obscure Christ not just to the Lost, but to the Believer as well.  The Apostle Paul said, "I must decrease, in order that He (Christ) may increase."  Roy Moore, and his campaign, have been worse for the Body of Christ than the campaigns of Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock.  Those two were just smarmy individuals who put their feet in their mouths repeatedly.  Moore is much worse; his emphasis on the Ten Commandments is such that he has become, in his way, a preacher of the Ministry of Death (the Law) and obscured the Gospel of Grace.  "But as many as received Him, He gave them the right to be called the Sons of God."  (John 1:12)

There is a place for Pastors in politics.  But that place ought to be showing the Whole Counsel of God and its implications for our spiritual lives.  It should not be a "How can I bend my theology to line up with my political party and be OK with God?".  Liberal theologians have done this as much as Conservative Evangelicals, only in different ways.  In the final analysis, I'm about Jesus Christ, and Him Crucified, Dead, and Resurrected.  He's the only way for sinful man to live forever with a perfect God.  I would hope that this would lead some here to confess their faith in Christ and others to, perhaps, repent and re-acknowledge their Faith in Christ as Lord and Savior.

That's more important than who wins any Senate seat.

Not sure.
But maybe on that island where Wonder Woman and all her sisterhood were located, could be the answer.
