I mean, the mean red avatars on Atlas make fun of him! How can you not feel sorry for him after that?

Do you know he went to Yale Law School 50 K a yr and there are no Pell Grants after Undergrad you can go back and get Second bachelor's degree and try to get Pell Grants before they give you Pell Grants for Law school and the rest of us have to go online to Law school 10K v 50 K a yr we are too poor

He got straight As either he is a genius or he cheated that's why Finals  and Bar Exam are virtual in front of a camera now than before they dint want license attorneys to cheat in DeSantis and Clarence Thomas era they took Finals in class, he got straight As that's the only way to get into Yake Law school and he wants to pardon insurrection and he is a lawyer, if you are registered with State Barbara you aren't supposed to have any criminal records or your license will be revoked that includes soliciting female escorts, that undercover cops try to bust

There are very few things that could happen to Ron DeSantis that would make me feel sorry for him

Princeton Review should sticky this at the top of their Twitter feed.

Don’t worry, according to posters who have never been wrong in the past, he’ll overcome a 35-point deficit in the polls to primary Trump (this time will be different!!) and then go on to become the next Reagan. Anyone who can’t see that or how much more reasonable and moderate he is compared to Trump is an idiotic out of touch hack.

I can barely conjure up pity for elder statesmen, what makes you think I can have any leftover for active politicians?

Not at all. I feel sorry for the people living under his leadership, though.

No.

But I don't feel sorry for politicians in general.  It's nothing personal, but DeSantis signed up for the rough-and-tumble.

He's a great Governor, however, who gives proper due to the people in society who actually do the work and pay the bills.  That's more than a lot of pols of both parties can say.

No, he’s an idiot. That said, anyone who isn’t actively rooting for him right now against Trump needs their head examined.

Why would I feel sorry for any member of the elite? I certainly don’t feel sorry for him.

On another note, I don’t feel sorry for Prince Harry and Megan Markle (except for the anti-black racism that they have to deal with).

According to S019 you should feel sorry for him because red avatars here are very mean to him and make fun of him all the time.

This is really dissapointing from you. I know your more mature than this. And frankly, it is the Trump will win the primary in a landslide folks that are being the most obnoxious on this forum. People like Alben and etc are very are downright hostile and agressive to anyone who dares to believe that DeSantis has any chance of winning the primary.
And no, DeSantis is not more moderate than Trump but I will repost this take I had from another thread
For the billionth time, people don't only vote on political positions! It doesn't matter how "moderate" Trump is on certain issues. He can't erase his authoritarian tendencies, disrespect for the rule of law and retaliatory behavior against people who dare question him. These qualities are clearly unpopular with the American public, given that many the candidates who embraced his stolen election lies lost in states he only narrowly lost in 2020 despite Biden having a negative 10 approval rating. I concede Biden will have a tough time given he himself is on the ballot but against Trump he would very likely win

I guess you don't see teachers and other sorts of educators as people paying the bills and doing the work. Not mad...just very disappointed.

Okay, I may have gone a bit far with that post, but what’s disappointing to me is how low our standards have fallen. Even if DeSantis were a tad more moderate than Trump, what does it say that several posters are implying that it’s the fault of progressives if Trump wins the primary and GE, and that we’re “insane/idiots” if we can’t see how much better he is (or are even expected to vote in the primary for him!?) When we’ve gotten to the point that a Republican simply not named Trump is automatically considered a reasonable alternative or even “departure” from Trumpism, we know that Republicans are held to no standard whatsoever.
