Donald Trump vs Steve Bannon

Given the recent falling out between the President and Steve Bannon, who do you prefer?

I choose Donald Trump, by a mile. He may be unruly and tasteless, but he has at least pursued a conservative policy agenda and been a loyal Republican while in office. Bannon, on the other hand,  appeals to the worst in people and is trying to pursue ethno-nationalist policies, which I abhor. Plus, he can be thanked for a Democratic victory in Alabama.

Toughie. I value Bannon's strength as an organizer but this reputation is partly tarnished these days, though to be fair he backed Mo Brooks originally. I think I'd have to go with Bannon if only because he offers the alt-lite a stronger future.

Or at least he did until today. Today was really bad on his part. He turned off his foot soldiers.

Superficial, but Bannon's smug pseudointellectual nature is preferable to trump's hostility to intellectualism.

Tough one. Given the current situation wherein Bannon seems to have reduced himself to a kind of revenge seeker who has lost track of whatever it is he's convincing himself he's fighting for, I'd lean toward Trump. However, Bannon more accurately sees the problems with Western Civilization as a whole in the modern era than Trump does. In some ways Bannon's part was the part of Trumpism that made it successful to begin with. It needed to be domesticated of course, and stripped of all the racial connotations, but Trumpism without it is even more of a confused mess. Ultimately both badly need a large slice of humble pie.
