Kansas, and even that probably won't happen.

I give a narrow edge to Kansas, but Oklahoma is a very close second. Democrats have strong candidates in both states, and Oklahoma has actually been electing Democrats to the state legislature in strong GOP turf, which leads me to believe they can make inroads there.

Mary Fallen is very unpopular, along with the OK GOP, who have cut most schools to only 4 days a week. Plus, former Attorney General Drew Edmondson is running.

That's wildly disturbing. I guess it's not just happening in OK? You miss a lot when you don't leave New England Wink

At this point education has been cut by 20%, teachers are fleeing the state in droves, hospitals are on the verge of bankruptcy, and the Republican led legislature could not give a DAMN while being picked off one by one by sex scandals involving uber drivers, women, children, and campaign cash scandals. The BEST solution they have was increasing the cigarette fees, which courts knocked down as a tax hike, which has to pass with a two thirds majority rather than a regular majority for most votes. I mean, Mattress Mary's tax plan actually had some real tax increases in it and the Oklahoma Republican Party and her own Lieutenant Governor stabbed her in the back by running far away from it. These people are corrupt POS's who regular Oklahomans are realizing don't give a crap about them.

Democrats winning the governorship is very possible, as shown by two pretty serious candidates running against each other in the primary (Scott Inman and a more well known name Drew Edmondson) and the clown car of Republicans running against each other (ranging from pro-development moderates like Mick Cornett, Trumpian economic nationalists like Gary Richardson, or establishment status quo anti-tax dipsh**ts like Todd Lamb).

I suppose the s**tshow explains why Democrats have won 3 of the 4 special elections for the state legislature this year? There's also two more special elections for the legislature on November 14 in senate district 45 and house district 76. Any idea if Democrats have a chance to pickup those?

Wow, that's worse than Utah, and we are 50th in per-pupil spending. I can definitely see one of Kansas or Oklahoma flipping.

1)Kansas
2)Oklahoma

3)South Carolina: Democrats ran a competitive race in 2010, the Republican incumbent has an ongoing corruption investigation and wasn't elected in his own right, and the Democrats have an interesting candidate
4)Texas: The Trump-Clinton margin was lower than the other states here and there's potential for a massive backlash to Trump
5)South Dakota: It's an open seat and Dems have some potentially decent candidates
6)Tennessee: I don't see why it would be competitive, but Sabato, Cook, and Nathan Gonzales do so I guess that's worth something
7)Alabama: Democrats could have a decent candidate and the Alabama Republican Party has had its share of problems lately
8/9)Idaho/Wyoming: They're open seats so I guess anything could happen
10)Nebraska: I guess there's some possibility that a three-way election could lead to a Democrat winning
11)Arkansas: nope
