BBC Panorama special; Muslim community throws collective hissy fit

Check out some of the comments on the mesage board. Plus a transcript of the excellent programme about the Muslim Council of Britain's true colours. I knew theses comments would occur; we've had them before, the BBC will now be added to the infinite list of 'Zionist tools.' (in my opinion the BBC has been the most critical broadcaster of Israeli policy in the UK, even referring to Palestinian terrorsists in Israel as 'militants') One message even accuses the BBC of blasphemy! I mean come on; thank god the incitement to religious hatred bill hasn't passed yet or the BBC would no doubt find itself in the dock. We may have a 'vast majority of moderate Muslims' (which appears as a foreword in every news programme and article these days) but their community leaders are very much in denial about the whole thing.

I think I may remove my BBC News signature now...

Good documentary; confirmed some suspicions of the MCB that I've had for a while and added some stuff I wasn't aware of.

There needs to be some way of empowering the silent moderate (actually traditionalist-liberal would be a more accurate description) majority of British Muslims (the documentary said a majority are Sufis, this suprised me... seems as though the % of British Muslims who are of Kashmiri/Mirpuri origin is higher than I'd guessed. But it's excellent news if true). The people running the Mosques (who are what the MCB represents) are very out of step with the wider community.
