I have to imagine most of the rest of the CEOs told Trump to end it so they didn't have to resign too.

I imagine most of the remaining CEOs took a vote and decided to go because of the council's hack nature and the point of remaining on with an unhinged Trump was moot. They did an f it, we're out.

Trump has disbanded them both.

 Donald J. Trump‏Verified account @realDonaldTrump

Rather than putting pressure on the businesspeople of the Manufacturing Council & Strategy & Policy Forum, I am ending both. Thank you all!

Let's be clear: the Strategic & Policy Forum is not the same as the Manufacturing Council.

Overtaken by events - Trump just tweeted that he's ending both.

Perhaps he'll bring in some foreign CEOs to replace them.

If you were a CEO why would you work with him?  Seriously.  The guy has a habit of terrible behavior and statements which can only hurt your company.  And if you quit (as the Merck CEO did) Trump throws a hissy fit and publicly attacks you and your company.  There is nothing but downside to working with him.  So much for his claims of being a great businessman.

If anything, the base may like him better after this because 'he's fighting against the corporate elite that are shipping our jobs away and ruining our towns.' That's how it is going to play, he's playing the fight the globalist game at this point. Look at the last campaign ad.

Shows how stupid the base is then, because he's one of those corporate elite. But hey, you reap what you sow I guess.

So much for him being a master deal maker.
