I am of course doing the Pence Presidency but I also want to do a side TL while doing it just to be busy and get more attention.

1.After President Roosevelt due to health issues decided to not run for the presidency his Vice President John Garner is seen as the frontrunner until during the 1940 RNC when a bomb kills several candidates which causes a person who never won a state in the primaries Frank Gannett to become a dark house that edges out Robert Taft for the GOP nomination and becomes a overnight sensation and ends up being Vice President Garner in one of the closet elections in history

2.Mitt Romney decides to sit out 2012 which makes former Florida governor Jeb Bush run and ends up running away with the GOP nomination and is able to edge out Obama for the presidency

3.Health Problems cause Ronald Reagan not to run for the GOP nomination in 1980 which leads to Jack Kemp former NFL star and congressman of New York to upset George Bush and win the 1980 election.

4.George Patton barely survives his December 1945 car crash then goes on to run a populist hard anti communist independent campaign to victory in 1948.

5.Progessive favorite Tulsi Gabbard rides the waves to defeat President Trump in 2020 and to become the 1st female President in US history.

It's not interesting if you already say exactly what's going to happen.

I mean that's the main plot line.

What you should be doing is laying out a scenario. For example, instead of saying "Health Problems cause Ronald Reagan not to run for the GOP nomination in 1980 which leads to Jack Kemp former NFL star and congressman of New York to upset George Bush and win the 1980 election," you say "Health problems cause Ronald Reagan not to run for the GOP nomination in 1980 which leads to Jack Kemp contesting the 1980 primary due to his absence. Does he come out on top?" Or something equal. Half of the entertainment of reading a timeline (which I actually haven't done in quite some time!) is not knowing what's going to happen.

If you already say what the outcome of a timeline is, it takes the suspense and fun out of the whole thing.
