I refuse to fly on Gulf carriers out of solidarity for Israel, but this just adds to the reasons not to. Plastic countries with plastic airlines - what kind of a flag carrier hires mostly foreign staff and has them play dress up?

Well, if the Emirates has a policy of that the cabin crew has to wear the flag of the country of origin then it seems to me that if they are truly following the One China policy as defined by the PRC when they established relations then it is reasonable to ask those cabin crew from Taiwan Province ROC to wear the PRC flag.  Of course a compromise is perhaps they wear the Chinese Taipei flag.

Of course as someone from free territories  of the ROC I prefer my compatriots wear the ROC flag.  It seems the way to get there is for the Emirates to switch their recognition to ROC as the legal government of China as opposed to the PRC and then all the cabin crew from Mainland China should wear, rightly so, the ROC.

Yes, and lose all their rights to serve mainland China *as well as* rights to overfly the PRC on their routes to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan?

I never said it was likely act.  I am just saying that within the rules in existence where recognition of ROC can only take place with nonrecognition of PRC and vice versa that is the only way for the ROC flag to be legitimately shown.
