Even speaking from your Reagen Conservative point of view, May is just incompetent and Bibi is an authoritarian who's trying to limit the freedom of the media. He has the smell of early Putin/Erdogan signs.

The interesting thing is Israel, Turkey, and Russia are all on unfriendly terms with one another.

It should be noted Netanyahu hasn't done anything authoritarian yet, and he on no level is even close to as bad as Putin and Erdogan.

I think a distinction needs to be made between Putin and Erdogan, both of which were initially democratically elected but which used their popularity and effectiveness quickly transitioned into being essentially the leaders of dictatorships, with Modi and Netanyahu, both of which are also nationalist democratically elected leaders who have won large majorities and are popular due to effective economic management, but neither of which have made any meaningful steps towards rolling back democracy in their country.

No for effective economic management for both, for especially Netanyahu, considering it's level of income inequality, oligarch's power etc, cost of living, housing, poverty rate etc.

If Likuid, didn't bring out the NATIONALISM, AND ARABS ARE WORKING WITH DUH LIBERALS in the 2015, they could have lost.

My understanding is that Israel has avoided slipping into recession for many years and that unemployment is low and falling; Netanyahu is also given some credit for breaking telecommunications monopolies in his first (non-consecutively second) term (though this was mostly done by then-Communications Minister Moshe Kahlon, who now has his own party). The poverty rate has also declined.

So, yeah, Netanyahu is typically given some credit on these sorts of issues.

I wonder how much this has to do with the INC's historic and present dependence on Indian Muslims,  while Modi has already burnt that bridge.
