200,000 early deaths of Americans due to air pollution is obviously too low a number.

This situation with the EPA is basically a perfect example of regulatory capture, just like much of Trump's administration.

In fact, come to think of it, when you think of the Republican Party's goals, regulatory capture would almost be an inherent feature in most prospective GOP administrations.

Too damn bad. There is nothing that can be done. This is not a surprise. Pruitt may run for Okla. governor down the road anyway.

I would not be surprised if the head of the EPA is not the CEO of British Petroleum or Xtrata Uranium Mining Co. Inc.

It's funny how people associate either end of this spectrum with Envronmental Protection at one end and Mining at the other.

When in fact, most mines i have worked at are no larger than a regular farm station with about 100 acres.

People dont burn Brazilian rainforests for mining. They burn them for farming.

Most drilling in 2017 is very heavily regulated in terms of environmental management, so Trump will have little or no effect on the quality of the process.

He may open up new areas for exploration, but this has minor environmental impact.

Mining and oil companies have large departments of environmental scientists who are very pedantic about the companies activities.

Agriculture is your main source of environmental flora destruction on the planet.
