Nope. I think Marco Rubio will quit at some point.

Ted Cruz is a possibility, but he'll chicken out.

They're both >50% likely to run in 2024 IMHO.

If Trump is Carter, Ted Cruz would be a pretty good shoo-in for another certain Ted in 2020.

If he [Trump] isn't, expect neither of them until 2024 at the earliest.

Rubot maybe, likely in 2024. Cruz absolutely. If the Trumpster numbers are low in 2020, I wouldn't be surprised by a primary challenge.

The problem is, Trump's numbers could be low among the general electorate, but it would take a lot for him to lose a majority of the Republican primary electorate, now that he'll be the incumbent Republican president.  So maybe there's an opening for a Pat Buchanan '92-esque primary challenge (where the challenger manages ~30%+ of the GOP primary vote in some states) but not an opening for anyone to actually win the nomination against Trump.  Does Cruz want to do that....or does he leave it to someone like Amash?

I think that Cruz ruined his career by running this year.  It didn't have to be, and I thought that, somehow, he'd be the nominee.  But he's Lyin' Ted now, and since so many folks view him as a MASSIVE HP, he'll have to reinvent himself somehow to ever get the traction he'll need to be a Presidential contender.

Rubio will have powerful patrons when he runs against Pence in 2024.  I'll be in Pence's corner if I'm still living and breathing.

Marco Rubio will run for President again in 2024.

Rubio will be 53 years old in 2024 and he will be more experienced than he was during his first presidential run so his potential rivals can no longer attack him on his "lack of experience". And even if Trump won in 2016 thanks to the Electoral College, he lost the popular vote and I doubt that he will win a second term in 2020. So the Republicans will undoubtebly need to attract Hispanic and minority votes, which they will be able to do with Marco Rubio as the Republican nominee in 2024 who will, in addition, play the foreign policy card.

Rubio can also benefit from Lyin Ted's absence in 2024 because Lyin Ted's Senate seat in Texas will be up for re-election in 2024. And who knows, Lyin Ted could even lose a primary challenge from his own party in 2018.

I fully expect both to primary Trump no matter how well/poor he does. They'll tag-team him and if they somehow do win they'll create a unity ticket. There's been a few whispers about this.

I believe this is true as far as either of these guys being Presidential Timber.  I think they'll both have long careers in the Senate, however.  Hating every minute of it in the end, both of them.

Only in your fantasies. Against super-weak murphy in his senate race whom the democrats literally abandoned, rubio still lost hispanics to him. Over two-thirds of non-cuban hispanics voted for murphy.
