I don't think he will be a serious candidate in 2008.  He's had his time, and lost some of his "Republican" appeal.  If anything, this would help him with Democratic voters, but not by much.

I don't understand McCain.  He could easily win over the religous right and wrap-up the GOP nomination (and hence, the White House, since, of course, no Dem could touch him in the general election) if he came out and led the fight to get Bush's SCOTUS nominees confirmed.

So, what does he think he is gaining by appearing in sleazy movies?
