I honestly have nothing against Gillibrand. I just don't see anything exceptional about her as a possible presidential candidate. There are many female Democrats that seem more formidable.

Most of the other female Democrats in the Senate won't run though.  Gillibrand, like Klobuchar, has made at least a few moves in the last few few years to signal interest in running for president at some point, so I'd say there's a decent chance that she runs.

No nominee from New York or within 100 miles of Wall Street's influence, please.

No to any foaming at the mouth Hillary supporters. Her blaming Bernie for Sandy Hook was despicable.

That has to be the most Atlas article ever.

Anyway, I think Gillibrand would be a decent nominee, although she does have some drawbacks.

People also aren't mentioning one of the biggest differences between her and Clinton: age.

I do think Gillibrand needs voice training she sounds like a little girl where its hard to imagine her being commander in chief. Maybe she does better with white men by virtue of her good looks.

Given that Trump has backtracked on most extremist positions, is pushing some Dem issues & is looking more & more reasonable compared to what he was thought to be, there is a huge chance than Trump will actually get a lot of Bernie votes over Gillibrand.

We could actually see a Trump landslide if The progressive disenfranchised Bernie voters feel Trump is reasonable - Those who voted for Hillary to keep out Trump or stayed home may really break for Trump.

I think Trump would additionally win VA, ME, NH, MN, CO & NV. Trump will cross 350 IMO!

I'd love to see Gillibrand run, but I don't think she'd be a very good candidate. She's basically Hillary Clinton minus both the scandal and the achievements. What does that leave you with?

This was so stupid of Dean. And actually hurts Gillibrand, even if unfairly.

I was torn between Ellison and Dean before (for DNC), but I can see Dean is not the person they need right now.
