'Senator Clinton, After 9/11, President Bush has put in place many new methods of protecting the American people. However i am concerned about Bushs patriot act. Can you guarantee to the IOC that the government will allow all coaches, athletes and representatives from countires such as Iran and Syria entrance into America?'

Senator Clinton response

' I haven't spoken to President Bush about it. But i can tell you that all athletes will be treated fairly and equally.'

Yeah?  What's your point?  And why a separate thread for a parallel topic?  Trolling?

Hon, obviously you've never travelled to non-Western countries.  The Patriot act is childs play compared to some areas of the world I've had to go to, right down to what kind of clothes I can wear.

BTW - quit trolling and just use one thread to discuss this topic.  You're beginning to look desperate.

The world? The world's got 6 billion people, not one.
Although, yes of course, nobody likes the Patriot Act. But I doubt it was on the minds of more than three or five of these 104 people.

IF bush had gone to Singapore maybe he could have answered the IOC directly instead of making it such an embarassment for Clinton to answer.

IOC member from Italy not really an enemy of the US now.

80-odd% of Italians are opposed to Italy's involvement in Iraq. The US has been getting a lot of bad press among the Italian right (ie, the only ones who saw anything positive in the current US admin - no friends for Bush whatsoever among opposition leftist parties in Europe)since they shot that Italian secret service agent.

I think I'm just going to cut and paste this into every thread you create on this topic:

They are diffeent issues. This is a national issue of importance.

No, it's really not.  There are many important national issues, this is NOT one of them.  And duplicating threads is bad form.

That has to be the most uneventful thing to make an issue out of that I've seen in a long time.
