The story of this election cycle has been that both candidates are unpopular.

While I have always admired Hillary Clinton, many people have a deeply ingrained resentment and distrust towards her. Some of it might be sexist. Some of it might be the last name. Some of it might just be the emails, Benghazi, and other right wing talking points.

I have to wonder how a generic, white male Democrat like Martin O'Malley would be doing right now with all of Trumps struggles. He'd likely be doing worse amongst women but would definitely be better amongst men.

What would the map look like??

Would Trump just call him "low energy"?

Reagan 84 in PV, Clinton 92 in EC.

Clintons not holding the dems down that much, you'd need a far better candidate than just a generic white male to see an 84esque margin

The millennials would probably find a third party candidate because Buzzfeed would convince them that they don't want to vote for another "rich old white man."

Would be doing better than Clinton. Not because of his race and gender, but because he would be a generic Democrat rather than Hilary Clinton.
