Zell Miller endorsed every Republican candidate 2004 and after. Before that, he endorsed every Democratic one (Maybe not McGovern, but he did go for Mondale!).

Entering "Stein/Baraka" as the edgy choice.

He will not endorse.

If I'm wrong, he MAY endorse Hillary.  Bill Clinton spoke highly of Zell in his autobiography.

Joe Liberman has endorsed Hillary; maybe that'll give Zell inspiration.

He endorsed Michelle Nunn, so it's not like he can't endorse a Democrat.

He'll probably endorse nobody or endorse Johnson.

He endorsed Michelle Nunn because he was good friends with her father, Sam Nunn. He'll endorse Isakson for re-election if he hasn't already done so, but likely won't endorse for President.

I'm not convinced he'd endorse Isakson.  Isakson was his 1990 opponent in the Gubenatorial race, and it was a rather bitter campaign.

I don't see him endorsing in the Senate race. Despite his pious transformation, ol' Zig Zag is still a spiteful person at heart. You can usually find a specific reason behind most of his GA-based endorsements, and it almost always has to do with his relationships with that person or family. He endorsed Michelle Nunn because he and Sam Nunn were close. He endorsed Deal because he and Jimmy Carter hated each other.

Isakson dared to run against him and so I think it's very unlikely he will endorse at all. If he does endorse in this race, though, then my money is on an Isakson endorsement. People like David Scott, Roy Barnes and Sam Nunn of all people have given him an easy out to do so. I don't see him endorsing Barksdale under any circumstances, despite the fact that Barksdale is talking about several issues that he cared about when in the Senate. He likes to pick the winning horse.

As far as the presidential goes...who's to say? He obviously has better relationships with the Clintons (as opposed to no relationship with Trump), so an endorsement would probably lean in that direction when coupled with the nuttery that is Donald Trump. Miller knows better, but...if he's prioritizing his late-in-life holy-roller image, then he may say something to the effect of "Hillary has left me, I haven't left her" and give Trump a lukewarm endorsement.

Zell and Bill are super close.  In 1991 Bill went to visit Zell in Atlanta and spoke at length about his presidential run.  It was Zell who told him to hire James Carville and Paul Begala.

Hillary is no Bill, and I don't mean just in terms of political talent.  Bill was a moderate southern democrat; Hillary is a far left liberal bordering on socialism when it comes to domestic policy.  No way Zell endorses her.

Zell is a guy who won't forget his friends.

It's the Republicans that are more at risk at being "A National Party No More", and Zell may be getting this.

A National Party No More is a great book. It's high time that a moderate or fiscally-minded conservative Republican (maybe Susan Collins or someone like Chuck Grassley) wrote a Republican version of that book.

lmao

And he is one of the "rational" Republicans.

That whole party lives in alternate dimension. Hillary is the typical center-left Democrat on domestic policy and hawk when it comes to foreign policy.
