I'm only about half way through after reading for over an hour, but wow great read.  We forget the human toll of all the turmoil in the middle east sometimes.  That it's not just different flags and banners on a chess board.  I try to put myself in the place of these people and imagine this happening in the United States, and I can't.  It makes me thank God that I was born where I was.

I was too busy reading the front page article on how Malaria is coming back to Venezuela as the Maduro Regime begins to collapse.

I do feel a slight sense of guilt since I used to love it when Chavez denounced Bush. "It smells of sulfur here!" Ah...... good times Smiley   But his mistake was getting too friendly with Iran.

If Arabs didn't throw gays off rooftops maybe I'd have some sympathy for them. Sure you can blame that on ISIS. But the Arab spectators were still glad the gays were killed.

This kind of logic is a big part of the problem.

Trash.  Anything that doesn't start with Western colonialism is garbage.

Only sparingly do they hint at the root cause...

Bombing Saddam because he "invaded" Kuwait has zero legitimacy.  What was more illegal?  Us invading Iraq or Saddam invading Kuwait?  If western powers had left these people alone we wouldn't have anywhere near the mess we have now.

The last time the Middle East wasnt all divided up, they were united in their quest to drive into Europe and conquer Christian lands.
