A 1992 article suggests Trump took amphetamines from 1982-1985.

Maybe Trump needs to release a drug test, medical records, and his tax returns?

Drugs can seriously affect one's mind. This certainly raises questions about if Trump is fit to be president.

Obama smoked marijuana in college. If you pardoned him, then you must pardon Trump too.

Marijuana and amphetamines are completely different drugs. It's like pardoning someone for LSD because you pardoned somebody else for Tylenol.

If you want to play that game, then I'll note that Obama used coke too:

and I do.

total non-issue. Trump is worse on about 1,000,000 things that I don't care about his prior drug use.

Also GWB used cocaine and drunk drove. Just about every recent President has had incidents of prior drug use either known in the public or obvious and just not talked about.

I think the whole notion of drug use is overblown, but I do wonder if drug use impacted Trump's brain...his syntax and vocabulary levels are significantly below where an adult male should be.

I'd rather have a cokehead than a Kochhead in the White House.

LSD is of course on the same level of marijuana, so that's like punishing someone for pissing in public while pardoning the guy who takes a dump in the parking lot.

That's cool, but cocaine doesn't cause the user to become paranoid, delusional, and psychotic. Amphetamines do.

That's not what the analogy was (marijuana < amphetamines, Tylenol < LSD).

Let me be the expert on cocaine abuse. My brother is in rehab for heroin use right now, his third round. His first stint was for cocaine, and once he and I got into a fight after he stole my car and literally attacked me with a hammer. Cocaine isn't something just to brush under the rug. It's a serious drug, much, much worse than smoking a joint or taking an acid trip.

I'm making a point on drugs in general. Acid and weed are small time. Amphetamines and cocaine are heavier drugs. I don't think Trump was a full on raging drug addict any more than I think Obama was. Both did some things that were harmful, one went on to be President, one went on to become a billionaire. No story here for either one of them.

overcoming drug use is one of the toughest things to do and if Trump was really addicted and then changed his habits that's a really good thing.

For the record, I think Trump was definitely, like Obama, an occasional user of coke. It was the 1980s, after all. Coke was to the early '80s what acid was to Woodstock.

Didn't think the Kochs were supporting anyone for President this time around? They declined Trump a few weeks ago, anyway.

Well played Mr. Chairman..

As far as this 'allegation" goes, do we need to go down the road of Hillary Clinton's alleged coke abuse?  IIRC that allegation was in Clinton's mistress's book. This article suggests he was prescribed the greenies, which was en vogue in the 70s and 80s IIRC.

Considering the rambling nature and incoherent nature of his speeches, I wouldn't have been surprised if you were referring to the last three years.

Jk, I really couldn't care less about this.
