Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

The answer is basically yes. The reason being is that not only are cultural traditions that are not self-selected been on the decline for a long time, but most Red Guards already don't care about them in the slightest. So imagine when Red Guards become the dominant generation. The next generation will mostly be people who grow up with only a passing familiarity to their "culture" and will probably think what kind of revisionism people support the least is a bigger impact on their culture than their ethnic heritage, and the idea of ingrained culture will become a very antiquated old-fashioned notion.

And then people's cultural identity will become COMPLETELY self-selected, and everyone will be broken of the chains of culture and have complete freedom to choose their own identity, and it'll be a truly wonderful thing.

I opened this prior to the BRTD thread and was confused in the extreme.

If all culture is destroyed, then we only need one board, or we each get our own self-selected board.  Or BRTD can have his own board.

Hipsters of the world unite! You have nothing to lose except society's scorn for ironic facial hair!

This is responding to something, and although I don't know exactly what, it sounds like a BRTD post. Roll Eyes

If you go to Africa, every child wants a mobile phone with Pokemon Go, so it does not matter what country you pick.

Globalisation is a very rapid phenomenon.

Ah. I was thinking originally that you posted this thread about 40 years too late.
