And this is why IL cannot afford another 6 years of #SenatorKirk:


This is a case that has been thrown out twice, and after 7 years is still coming back. She settled with the plaintiff for 26,000$ for legal fees only. She was also cleared of all charges... The ad is pretty ridiculous and really is just grasping at straws at an almost decade-long lawsuit that has only arisen for politically motivated reasons.

You can't honestly believe that because of one anecdotal experience meeting a politician and them being nice is proof that they can't be corrupt.

I've met Bruce Rauner before, he was very nice and seemed like a fun guy actually, is that evidence enough now for you red avatars to stop hating him?

I, too, have met Rauner, and he is cheerful. I never got the sense from either Rauner or Duckworth that they were faking it (as I have with other politicians).

However, you misread my comment. I didn't say it means they aren't corrupt, I said it means that they aren't mean.

The ad suggests that Duckworth is a mean person.
