I've been to most of them, so I'll just list the ones I plan to visit in the next 12 months or so.

Next month I plan to visit OH and then take a vacation to CO and UT by way of IA, NE, KS, and MO.

AK and HI are the only two states I haven't visited, so some year I'd like to get to those. My real goal is to visit as many of the 3143 US counties (and equivalents) as I can, even if just to drive through them. I'm currently at 1505. My vacation this year should add more than 20 counties to my total.

This for me, except my only remaining state is Alaska. Once you get close to visiting all the states, it's time to move on to the counties. Cheesy

Of the ones I haven't already been to...

I wouldn't reject a trip to any state, though.

I see your old culturally moderate, populist attitude has completely given way to elitism.

You're missing out.

I may be all those things, but I do like ecological diversity, which seems to be sorely lacking in the plains.

And I have a strong bias for cool Summers, which of course is best found on coastlines or in mountains. Once again, the plains lack that.

Sounds like me my senior year in college. I applied and was accepted to grad schools in both Boston (Waltham) and Seattle. I picked Brandeis out east which was great, but I didn't get to see UW in Seattle for another 20 years.

The Western states.

I have only visited the East Coast so far (NYC region, Philly and DC).
