I guess bankruptcy has its upside.  During Peabody's bankruptcy proceedings we get a peek at some of their documents and what we see is filthy.

Not surprised at all. I already assumed companies like this used their money to corrupt public discourse on this issue.

Just amazing that a Harvard researcher was taking seven figures from big oil/coal while simultaneously denying climate change.

When lay people read that a Harvard researcher is denying climate change it would be nice if a little asterisk let them know he is on a coal company's payroll.

Shocking. Next you'll be telling me the company's assets were bankrolling the executives' golden parachutes and that the taxpayera will be bankrolling the numerous clean-up obligations the company will dodge.

Peabody's behavior makes it all the more hopeful that when I toured a BP research facility last year, they started their presentation talking about their recognition of man-made climate change.
