Maybe Bill slipped him some of that law firm money.

Then you don't understand Jerry Brown. He made some good points in his letter. He really should be supporting Bernie but feels the time has come to unite against Trump.

You mean, the guy who dragged California away from a cliff endorsing the woman who will probably be president in half a years time.

That was me ironically being a Berniebot there. I love Jerry Brown, he has been a excellent governor.  He has shown how you can govern progressively while also being fiscally responsible. I would want him to run for president in 2016, but he is too old sadly.

Disappointing but not surprising. The Establishment loathes Bernie.

Interesting piece of Bernie's fundraising deadline email:

"Here’s the truth: we are still short of hitting the goals that will allow us to run the kind of campaign it takes to win in California."

Not often that Jeff Weaver admits weakness to the flock, so that lends more credence to the polls showing Hillary up double digits in CA

Jerry's endorsement won't do much more than move the needle 1-2% among 65+ Anglos in Cali.

Jerry is a West Coast legend on environmental, anti-war, and social justice related issues, but is irrelevant in the California Primary and is basically a well loved but "has been".

Classic West Coast anthem "California Uber Alles" (Critque from his Lib Dem strongholds of the Bay Area) from Punk Rock band Dead Kennedys was reinvented in the early '90s in a techno/hip-hop version from Desposible Heroes to describe the moderate Republican governor Pete Wilson's attempt to enact massive fiscal austerity programs and clamp down on "illegal immigration" in the state that turned Cali from light red to dark blue within a few short years.

Industrial version:

Clean Version:

So basically, despite the love for Jerry, we might be looking at a scenario where some 65+ Anglos are smoking their medical weed and staring at faded Jefferson Airplane posters on their bed while they ponder whom to vote for in the Democratic Primary and decide that Jerry's endorsement is enough to cause them to cast their absentee vote for Hillary.

Kid, you wouldn't know what the establishment is even if it bit your lilly-white ass.

Wasn't Jerry Brown the establishment's last-ditch anyone-but-Clinton candidate in 1992?

No! Brown was the last-ditch leftwing progressive challenge to Clinton in 1992.

Well, you see, anybody that supports the presumptive nominee in any way, shape, or form is filthy establishment scum for wanting the Democratic Party to get back on its feet in time for November.
