although its possible, and I think that Cleland is a great person...lets be realistic people, are the voters going to elect a person in a wheelchair with no legs and a arm missing...

FDR was on a wheelchair - what's your point? Smiley

FDR was back in the 1930’s campaigning and the media where very different, added to this his disability was covered up…

Cleland has 1! Arm and is wheel chair bound that is not going to instill confidence, yes its wrong but its true people will not vote for a disabled VP, and electoraly Cleland wont help Kerry anyway you don’t need another vet on the ticket and especially one with one uneventful term in the senate…

Hey, I don't like the idea of Cleland being VP either and it is not because he is on a wheelchair. Just that he lost a senate seat, which then begs the question, why would you want a "loser" on your ticket?

I think both are reasons why Cleland shouldnt be picked...as i said he wont help Kerry electorally and becasue he is disabled he could be a drag on the ticket imho... but your right even if he was able bodied and had still lost he would be no good as a VP... imho...
