He endorsed her in the the first debate and several times since.  And he's endorsed every single Democrat since 1996 at least.

Why do people seriously think he'll run as an independent or Green?

Incidentally you hear this both from the "Bernie or bust" crowd but also from some ridiculous Hillary hacks who think he is insufficiently loyal to the Democratic Party or whatever.

He is going to endorse Clinton. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional, ignorant of Sanders's history, or being disingenuous.

Trump supporters would love nothing more than for Sanders to go rogue and run as an Independent, but it's not going to happen.

Sanders already said he would support her. I can imagine him giving a high energy speech endorsing Hillary in June.

the only thing that scares me is that Sanders is drinking the kool aid that his supporters have been drinking as of late involving delegate math.

I think the bigger question is whether or not he's going to be able to convince his fundraising juggernaut to throw money at her.

the only thing that scares me is that Sanders is drinking the kool aid that his supporters have been drinking as of late involving delegate math.

Yes, his campaign has raised a number of questions in my mind. Why is he still attacking Clinton? Why did he say superdelegates should vote based on who won the popular vote in their state only to later decide that he wants to win over as many superdelegates as it takes, including from states Clinton won. So he's basically saying superdelagates should only be unbound if he needs them to win. Or, what, the people only count if he is already winning? Roll Eyes

My worry now is that while before he was just a regular ol' Senator, now he's the leader of a movement and sees that his vision for America has real possibility. Based on what he has done so far, I'd say that he probably feels doing whatever it takes to get even a tiny chance at the presidency is now worth it.

With that in mind, I have to wonder if he would also avoid doing anything he thinks might hurt his movement, which endorsing/supporting/helping Clinton might. Though, I will give him the benefit of the doubt, for now.

He obviously doesn't believe anything he says in that regard.  He just needs an excuse to keep going on.  It wouldn't sound good to any of his supporters in upcoming states if he says, "Well shucks, I have no shot at winning, but I'm staying in anyway!"

Bernie is still running for two reasons
1. He wants to show that a solid progressive can get close to a majority of the pledged delegates, to encourage more progressive candidates in the future for President and other offices.
2. Hillary could get indicted. Bernie doesn't like to talk about this reason, though.

Nothing Sanders does would surprise me.  He and his campaign continue to attack Clinton from the left even though she hasn't engaged with him in weeks and he has no plan to win.  Now Clinton is stuck in a place where she's attacked from both the left and the right so she can't defend herself by moderating her positions, she has to suffer humiliating losses while Trump goes on his victory lap, and she can't move to the center until Bernie drops out.  He's basically holding her down for the next month while Trump beats her up.

He's being very selfish, at least his campaign could start saying some nice things about Clinton instead of sending his wife out to legitimize emailgate, or they could muzzle his supporters who keep going around saying they're going to support Trump to radio silence from the campaign.  At this point I think it's like Virginia said, he only cares about his little movement and doesn't care how Hillary does.  Who would have thought Bernie would end up being the most childish candidate?

The most likely outcome is he reluctantly endorses her after the convention, but doesn't campaign for her.

I think his movement will mostly fizzle out once the voting is over and it's clear that people simply didn't vote for him, and he'll see the writing on the wall. I really doubt he'll actually take it to the convention.
