After the recent Acela primaries, it's become clear that Clinton and Trump will be their respective party nominees. But considering how both candidates are viewed unfavorably by most Americans, could we see higher results for third party candidates than the last few election cycles?

Gary Johnson is probably going to be the Libertarian candidate again. Is it possible moderate Republicans who are displeased with Trump but don't want to vote for Clinton either would vote for Johnson?

Jill Stein could be the Green Party candidate again, but apparently she's trying really hard to court Bernie to run as a Green candidate in November. Could Bernie's diehard voters reject Clinton and go Green? And even if this doesn't happen, could some of those voters turn away from Clinton to Stein?

Johnson could, as a two-term governor of New Mexico, campaign as the "real Republican" in the race and make a run at Republican establishment and conservative voters.

Bernie is not going to betray the Democratic Party, period. He has already accomplished much of his original objective and has said he would not run as a third-party candidate for fear of handing the election to the GOP.
