Yeah, this is basically a non-story. A few hundred out of the many contributors (can't find an exact number) who donated went over the limit, and the FEC did it's job by noting it when the campaign turned in it's report.

That said, I'm pretty sure this is in response to the Sanders' camp letter about DNC, which for all I can see, seems to be a bit of truth stretching by the Sanders' camp, though I'm hoping we'll get some analysis of it over the next couple of days.

This isn't about popularity, it's about what's ethical, taking $353k that mostly goes to helping a candidate where the maximum contribution is supposed to be $2700 is very unethical.

To be fair, the Sanders campaign *should've* caught this. I work for a consulting firm and even our state house clients can do this stuff. Who the hell is running their books? Some chubby butch with a pierced lip who owns a hybrid and who's a part time student at Burlington Community College? This is campaign finance 101.
