Obama needs to understand that every time he mentions trump it only gives the Republican voter the impression that if Obama is bashing trump ... he must be doing something right.

Guess he's trying to help the windbag and her boring campaign.

Actually, by having trump as the R candidate, this will help either D candidate to win in the general (trump is the easiest candidate to beat).
And PS: there are many "Republican voters" who hate trump, and who will not vote for him come November.

He is right. Trump doesn't demonstrate knowledge of much policy at all.

Yes, but do we really need to be told this by a President who thinks it's a good idea to return boatloads of money to Iran so they can go off and promote terrorism? A President that wants to release Gitmo prisoners so they can go kill Americans? A President who Putin and other major world leaders appear to think is irrelevant, at best? This is the man who wants to bash Trump, saying Trump doesn't know much about foreign policy? Something about a pot and a kettle comes to mind...

Yeah, this is an angle that the media has largely ignored until recently: Trump is basically Palin redux when it comes to depth of policy knowledge.

ProudModerate, you have already amply demonstrated your lack of understanding of the basic facts in this election cycle and you keep repeating yourself over and over again. I wonder if you’ll ever learn. Perhaps on Nov-9.
Trump is the most difficult candidate to beat, not the easiest candidate to beat. The reason for that is because all other Pub candidates have zero chance to beat Hillary Clinton, while Trump alone with his appeal to traditionally Dem constituencies has at least a fighting chance.

The thing is, your ilk has been living in a virtual world of political correctness for far too long and neither you, nor President Obama can realistically understand the appeal of Trump or comprehend his real chances before it is too late for your anointed arrogant Snow Queen. Obama thinks he is doing her a favor by helping Trump become the nominee. He is wrong and he will learn the truth on Election Day and suffer an ignominious dismissal on Jan-20 (“You are fired!”).

And PS: Your PS is actually BS because we have a very recent similar phenomenon - the PUMAs. Remember who the PUMAs ended up voting for? What makes you think the neverTrump phenomenon will be any different?

When all the corporatist war criminals on both sides of the aisle band together to scream you know nothing, Donald Trump, it only lends him more credence to me.
