What do you think?  He's populist and vehemently pro-American.  He's what Americans are looking for.

I guess he would run as an Independent.

Lou Dobbs is populist? Are you sure? He's an ex-CEO and he's a Bush contributor. I doubt he's economically liberal.

Here is a collection of some of his quotes on the issues.  I think you'll find him quite populist.  http://loudobbsforpresident.com/said.htm

He bases Bush there yet he donated to him. That's rather confusing. And there is no mention of social issues.

I used to watch Moneyline/Lou Dobbs Tonight, but now it seems to be a stale rehashing of no more than two mundane issues: (a) how many Enron executives have gone to jail and (b) illegal immigration. Is nothing else newsworthy?

These are the issues Americans care about.  You can mock them all you want, but that is why you will never win an election.

There are other issues. He has gone through them to the point where they are no longer interested. It is no longer news; it is now just attempting to drill these issues into the American mind. That's not what news is for. That's telling people what to think.

Perhaps so, but, thankfully, neither will Lou Dobbs.

The horrible anti-American slant on this forum is outrageous.

Hey, I have an idea. How about you stop calling anyone who disagrees with you anti-American? This is annoying and elitist. You have no right to call me anti-American because you disagree with me. I love this country, and thank God every day I live here. Instead of hurling idiotic insults, consider actually responding to the points I'm bringing up and dropping the holier-than-thou act.

I love this country and this is not a pissing contest over who loves it more.

Pray tell me, how am I anti-American? How is Alcon anti-American? Is experiencing ennui during Lou Dobbs Tonight somehow unpatriotic?

If being pro-free-trade makes me anti-American, well then I'm anti-American.  There's no reason why my love of my country should extend to having to love every single uncompetitive business that happens to be in the country...

I can understand his whining to a SMALL extent, but he's so obsessive about it and such a downer.

Here's what Wikipedia says about him:

The guy's not a populist.  He's not really anything, clearly speaking.

Why, if he was so disenchanted, did he donate to Bush?  Strange guy.
