I doubt all the money they ever made from his campaigns adds up to one Hillary speech.

I'm not talking about Clinton, I'm talking about Sanders. Clinton getting paid for speeches is quite different than family members getting paid from working on a campaign.

They were paid pretty modest amounts for their work. Do you think that labor should be free?

I have an issue with paying family for campaign work, except maybe reimbursements for transportation or other expenses.

This is the thing you attack Sanders on... This? First of all this was proven to be false... Secondly it's not a very good attack. I've been warming up to Hillary, but you people really just shove any hope of uniting the Democratic party down the toilet.

This sensitivity is annoying, no one can say anything about Sanders it seems. It's not even really any attack, it's just an observation about how candidates sometimes trickle money down to family members.

Listen, I am probably one of the least sensitive Bernie supporters here. I am not sensitized to Sanders, I would be saying the exact same thing if jfern or PC were saying that about Bill taking campaign money for his services. The story that I believe you are referencing has been overstated and proven to be no more then small consultant fees used by his Republican opponents. Also, the alleged story is done in the early 2000's and has no real shape in the 2016 election.

Can you imagine how angry you, as a parent, would be if some televangelist was preying on teenagers and college students around the country to the tune of $40,000,000 a month?  And you were sending your child money in college to pay for food and school supplies and he was turning around and sending it to the televangelist, and the televangelist kept asking for more and more and more in increasingly large amounts?

What is your position exactly? That only rich people should donate to candidates?

Starting with the source of donations is the wrong strategy because you end up with situations like this.  We have to go several levels deeper and reform the way campaigns are run and the financial requirements to run a competitive one before we start restricting who can donate.  Can you imagine if every campaign was funded by the people?  We spent 7 billion dollars in the last election year.  That's almost $70 per fully-employed person in the United States.  You may say something like "well $70 is a small price to pay to get corruption out of our politics!" but what if the price tag was raised to $700?  Or even higher?  Is it about money or principle?  Something more fundamental has to change other than the band-aid solution of saying "corporations and wealthy people shouldn't donate money" and slapping "paid for by you, NOT THE BILLIONAIRES" on every ad.

Wow, it's now over double the $21,288,271.62 he raised last month, which was pretty impressive.

This campaign's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
