The Libertarian Party looks likely to get a nationally televised Presidential debate, and this time it isn't just CSPAN: http://govgaryjohnson.tumblr.com/post/139437033785/gary-johnson-campaign-announces-that-plans-are

Nothing is formally announced yet, but it should be on John Stossel's show on Fox Business, probably in March. It will probably feature Gary Johnson, John McAfee, and Austin Petersen, because those are the candidates Stossel tried but failed to get together earlier for a February debate. (Sorry DW Perry fans.)

I love John Stossel, but this may be a boring debate since he's a Libertarian himself.

Good news.

I love John Stossel, but this may be a boring debate since he's a Libertarian himself.

I watch his show every week, and he's usually good at challenging all people (even those he agrees with).

Just Johnson, McAfee, and Petersen? It would still be good, but I'd also like to see Kerbel, Feldman, and, of course, D.W. Perry. If I was a purist, I'd be pissed at Perry's exclusion. And I still kind of am as a "moderate"/"pragmatist" (which are ironic things to call me of all people, but relative to someone like Darryl "abolish the federal government" Perry I am).

Unless I missed someone, those are the serious candidates. Everyone else is either crazy (and not a crazy genius like McAfee, just crazy), a LINO (look up Shawna Sterling's platform--if you're in favor of raising military spending and preserving "traditional marriage," you're as libertarian as I am socialist), or just have really crappy website design.

That's not being pedantic, that's actually a really good litmus test. If you're website looks like a 12-year-old made it in 1996, you probably aren't qualified to lead the modern world's biggest superpower, or even be the standard-bearer for the Libertarian Party.

Gary Johnson would be an objectively great President if elected.

Welp, Sanders isn't doing well and I hate the Republican candidates and Clinton, so I suppose this is the closest I'm going to get to a debate between honest and reaqsonable candidates this cycle.

You mean because he might actually ask relevant, intelligent questions about issues from a libertarian perspective?

I don't see any events upcoming with your ideal lineup, but maybe you can take the average of the upcoming Stossel debate and tomorrow's Mississippi debate. They've announced 11(!) candidates to debate at 7:25PM Central, livestreamed at: mslp.org/debate

Joy Waymire won't make it, which I believe puts the candidate lineup at:
1. Marc Feldman
2. Cecil Ince
3. Gary Johnson
4. Steve Kerbel
5. John McAfee
6. DW PERRY
7. Austin Petersen
8. Derrick Reid
9. Jack Robinson
10. Rhett Smith
11. Shawna Sterling

I'd better watch so I can decide who to vote for in the Libertarian primary and general election should Trump's hijack of the GOP prove successful.

Not going to lie, that's exactly what I'd expect from a third party debate announcement.

LOL!

With the lighting, it looks like they're about to be taken up to the Mothership.
