How will the media and the party spin that? For the most part he shouldn't be be doing well in South Carolina due to his seemingly moderate views in an evangelical conservative state. I would be shocked myself if Kasich could beat both Rubio AND Cruz in this state.

Presumably he will be highlighted as the guy who COULD be the Anti-Trump, Anti-Cruz and make the establishment take a big look at him.

if Kasich usurps Cruz, Bush, and Rubs for 2nd, then he will officially end Rubio and Cruzes careers, and Bush would be pretty close to over too.

If this happens, I could see TRUMP v. Kasich being the final match-up, and TRUMP probably steamrolls him.

Kasich has been flying under the radar for a while and even his 2nd place in NH didn't wake the media up. If he does reach 2nd or 3rd in SC, both the other candidates and the media will have to take him seriously.

It is interesting that both Trump and Kasich have taken a non-traditional platform on many GOP issues - if they are successful, the tea party inspired GOP agenda may have to be rewritten!

The Bush/Rubio money spigot that stopped flowing might start flowing again, but to Kasich finally.
