For my first statement in my pseudo-re-election campaign (for Midwest Senate), I will be brief. I will just state samples of my voting record. This may not be exhaustive (but I think it's pretty indicative of what I stand for).:

Aye:
Repeal of Family Planning Amendments of 2004
Farm Subsidy Limit Act
Senate Resolution for the Honoring of Jravnsbo
Constitutional Amendment to Right to Bear Arms
Nuclear Restriction Bill
ANWR Drilling Authorization Bill
John F. Kennedy for Associate Justice
Emsworth for SecDef
Marijuana Legalization and Taxation Act
Constitutional Amendment to Federal Marriage Powers

Nay:
Constitutional Amendment on Poverty
New Mexico-Montana Regional Bill

Abstain:
True Democrat for SoFA

Non Aye/Nay/Abstain votes:
Sam Spade for PPT

I don't see any active campagn against you.  Is there anybody declared?  In any case, best of luck to you.  Our views closely match and I hope to be working with you in the Senate soon.

Miss Catholic and Yaks Hairbrush have declared that they are running for this senate seat.  i am uncertain whether they are sacrifical lambs or actually could pose a real challenge to the incumbent Senator DanielX. at the very least, however, DanielX has nominal opposition.

I don't support a VAT. I support a National Sales Tax (preferably), or a flat tax (nominally).

Would it replace other federal taxes. That would require a national sales tax of 60%-70%? What a crazy idea.

Yes, it would replace other federal taxes. And it wouldn't be nearly as high because the budget would be a lot smaller.
