New Zealand sounds like a paradise with a moderate climate, great scenery, and (unlike Australia) no dangerous wildlife.

Happy that (if he keeps his word), government will not grow and I won't be forced to pay for other people's health insurance anymore (so premiums for my wife and I would go from over $350/month to about $50/month).

Probably be more motivated to pass actuarial exams since I don't have to worry about more of the fruits of my labor being taken away and given to other people (each pass is worth about $3K/year).

First reaction would probably be a celebratory date with my wife.

Pray that he is ruled unconstitutional in the Supreme Court, so Vice Presidential pick DONALD TRUMP takes the White House.

I'd probably lose a great deal of respect for this country that I could never gain back. I would seriously consider living somewhere else, at least temporarily. Cruz is a dangerous man...

Looking forward to the landslide in 2020 which allows Democrats to control the redistricting process around the country, while not fearing that Trump will destroy the country.

This. At least Dubya had the "likable" excuse. What excuse will the country have for Cruz?

He'll also taKe away a woman's right to choose and marriage rights for the LGBT community. So much freedom yeah...

That would require a Constitutional amendment.

We need those amendments.  Very, very badly evidently.

Thank god I live in Canada. Although Cruz could get ruled as a non natural born citizen. He then moves back to his Canadian homeland. He runs against Trudeau and wins in 2020 becoming Canadian PM.

Not that this is at all likely after a grueling election campaign, but could the House simply choose not to recognize the electoral votes cast for Cruz, on the basis of his birth?  Similarly to how the electoral votes cast for (the by that point dead) Horace Greeley in 1872 were thrown out?

At that point, with no one having a majority, the election would be thrown to the House (by states) to decide between Clinton and whoever some faithless elector voted for.

I'll be satisfied, even happy, since the presidency haven't produced a semi-decent nominee (both sides) in over 30 years.
