Rep. RGN, you have 48 hours to advocate for your bill. An additional 24 hours will be given for debate after that.

Basically, it will help to alleviate the burden of the contestants who won in a game show. They'll have to pay federal taxes plus state taxes. This bill eliminates the payment of state taxes. It will also promote tourism. Production companies will be engaged to move their production of various game shows here in the Northeast, attracting more audience. Game shows should be fun at whole, even after winning

I'm not from the Northeast, but I haven't seen a dissenting opinion, and I have one:

Wouldn't it make sense to, instead of giving a tax break to people with significantly more money than others, lower taxes either across the board or even targeted towards middle or lower class people? Obviously very few people win game shows, so it wouldn't make that big of a different if spread out, but it seems like an odd thing to do nonetheless.

(I mean, if you have regional income taxes to begin with...)

I'd argue that this bill is simply common sense. Game shows are meant to be about fun and happiness. We shouldn't ruin that by feeling the need to tax the winning contestants.

I can't imagine this having a big fiscal impact, so I support this.

In the latest budget I proposed I raised the lowest income bracket to $30,000, and cut the Sales Tax (which I'm planning on eliminating)

Seeing as there is no further debate, we will now move to a 24 hour final vote.
