90s conspiracy theorist. Imagine Alex Jones-level beliefs but without the crazed ranting.

He’s best known for his book Behold a Pale Horse which not only helped spark the militia movement but influenced a whole generation of East Coast rappers including Mobb Deep and Busta Rhymes. It warned of government collusion with aliens and a very interconnected web of secret societies going back millennia.

As the 90s went on he turned more and more to the militia movement and infamously predicted that Osama bin Laden would be framed for a “major terrorist attack” soon before 9/11 happened.

He also was a fugitive from the law, wanted for tax evasion and aggravated assault, and vowed he would never be taken alive. Ended up getting into a shootout with the cops when they tried to arrest him and was killed in the ensuing struggle.

Hilarious person who was much, much less interesting than Alex Jones is. Though the latter does not exist without the former.
