in my opinion, Conservative ranking of GOP2016 candidates about immigration.

1st TRUMP | 2nd Christie |  3rd Carson | 4th Cruz |   5th Paul=Hucakbee=Fiorina=Santorum |
| 9th Jeb=Kaisch | 11th Rubio

1. About Immigration

1) TRUMP : Most Conservative among of candidates. Abolish Birthright Citizenship & secure border with build the wall.

2) CRUZ : Uncertain, His polish look Conservative, Abolish Birthright Citizenship & secure border, But there is an argue with, Cruz introduced an amendment to the 2013 comprehensive immigration bill that would strip the law of providing a pathway to citizenship but still allow a path to legalization. between, Nowadays Cruz is claiming he never supported legalization.

3) Rubio : Very Liberal. He wants to give a green card to illegal immigrants

4) Carson: Kinda Conservative. Carson’s opinion is, it doesnt neccesary to Change constitution for reducing immigrants. with reinterpret is enough.

Carson : “The interpretation [of the 14th Amendement] is left up to the Congress,” he said. “They don’t have to amend it. They just have to reinterpret it.”  more detail:

5) Jeb : Liberal. not much difference between Marco Rubio.

6) Paul: Semi Conservative(less strict compare to carson). He says “I do not support amnesty, but rather I support a legal immigration process.” between interesting thing is, his father ‘Ron Paul’s immigration policy on GOP2012 was as strong as TRUMP in 2016. (exactly same with Abolish Birthright Citizenship & secure border.)

Rand Paul’s on immIgration is Semi Conservative but not as his father did in GOP 2012.

7) Christie: Very Conservative similar as TRUMP.  about detail below link.

Cool Huckabee : Semi Conservative. He wants to Oppose to amnesty & secure border. But didnt mention about fix or abolish birthright citizenship.

9) Kasich :  Liberal. He is oppose to deport 11 million illegal immigrants.

10) Fiorina: Semi Conservative. similar as huckabee. about detail below link.

11) Santorum: Semi Conservative. about detail below link.

It's impressive how much Trump has shifted the Overton Window on this issue.

I'm begging NUSA to give Kasich an F. "You can't have 15 million non-citizens, you can't deport 15 million minor criminals, and you can't suddenly give fifteen million people citizenship." It's a very unreasonable stance for the left who wants new voters fast and the right who wants new jobs fast.

What's most interesting to me is how Trump's views on immigration are painted as so extreme. I mean, isn't the guy basically saying to enforce the laws we currently have on the books? When did that idea become so crazy?

I do not know if it is all Trump´s doing. Xenophoba seems to flare up in the US periodically.

I mean obviously the underlying sentiments were present, or else TRUMP wouldn't be able to do what He did, but it's pretty obvious that His statements and subsequent popularity were what got all the other candidates to start aping Him.
