So far, everyone remains undeclared or undecided. Any chance one of the TN reps retires this time around? What happens?

This article claims Steve Cohen is running for reelection, and will likely face yet another primary challenger.

What if a libertarian primary challenger shows up?

I doubt they'd get very far.

DesJarlais probably goes down in the primary. Cooper could lose in the general against the right candidate,   Ball only carried it 49-46 in the 2014 Senate Race, and Haslam easily carried it.

Do you realize that they were running against some-dudes, and were running huge margins statewide.  I mean Haslam was close to winning the 9th as well, is that going to be close?

On the 4th, I think DesJarlais will finally go down.

First of all, I think that Starrett (who is friends with some of my friends) will successfully primary DesJarlais.  I would definitely support him if I lived in the 4th, instead of the 5th.

As for here in the 5th, David Fox was fairly close in the mayoral race, and that only is the Davidson County portion of the 5th.  When you add the Cheatham and Dickson portions, the right Republican would have a shot.  I still think the best path is to recruit a country music star to run.

Yeah Cooper is not going to lose. Nice pipe dream though.

If Cooper is primaried by Zephyr Teachout or some kind of wacko, then I suppose it would be a fight, but it's not D+1 or D+2, it's D+5.

Isn't the 4th like R+18?  Sherrell tried to not come of as that liberal and failed terribly.

The 5th is more competitive than the 4th.
