That's the way voters view the Presidency, and that's the way almost every candidate campaigns for President.  And if a candidate isn't campaigning that way, they are probably losing ala Bush. I don't see how this solely applies to THE DONALD.

What one would be misinterpreting though is that Congress will immediately line up behind the extraordinarily popular figurehead who controls the media narrative so well and would line up primary challenges against anyone who dare stand up to him. In a way, Trump does have the power he dreams of, and he will shut down private businesses that try to interfere by executive order if necessary.

I guess we can add Dartmouth to the ever growing list of joke schools

-Yale University
-University of Texas at Austin
-Dartmouth University

Good Schools
-University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School of Finance)
-Northwest Oklahoma State University

Questionable
-Columbia University
-Fordham University (Trump's original attendance may put it over the top)

Yep. He can just take his queue from the Obama and Bush administrations, and declare anyone who opposes Making America Great Again to be a national security threat, and have them detained indefinitely or shot.

Is there any candidate who doesn't run with this rhetoric? I mean, look at Bernie Sanders, whose entire platform is stuffthatcongresswillkill.txt and no one gives him as much s**t about it as they give Trump's "...and Mexico will pay for the wall" stuff.

Trump has a better shot at "Mexico will pay for the wall" than Bernie has for most of his platform.

Dems are happy he got Jeb out the way, but Dems would have loved to have took on Christie. The 2012 platform pof eliminating taxes through tax reform like estates tax was proposed by Romney. And war with Iran isnt what people wanted.

Trump mistook the American people and thought they forgot about 2012, because its Trunp proposing it.

Yes. It's actually a bit sad that the public places so much emphasis on the presidency, and so little on the workings of our congress. While it's true that the executive sets the tone and is sometimes able to impact the leanings of the high court, when you get right down to it, unless you're willing to use the power of the veto or go around shelling out executive orders on everything, there's a real limit to presidential power.

Christie would be a strong nominee.

Please stop making things up.
