1988: Dukakis-Bentson
The loss was inevitable anyway...
1992: Bush-Schwarzkompf
Try and take their minds off the economy by reminding them of Desert Storm.
1996: Dole-Weld
The south is Clinton's anyway, try and take the more moderate voters back. Powell and Specter would also be strong choices.
2000: Gore-Graham
This is obvious.
2004: Kerry-Bayh
Would help out in conservative leaning states and bring in a more moderate message. Basically John Edwards Strategy-Charisma+Experience-Small Background.
