Recently my opponent voted to allow ANYONE to carry explosives around ANYWHERE in the mideast.
Terrorists,serial killers,any whack job that wants to lob a few off the overpass.
Does this really represent mideastern values?

Well you can make a bomb out of fertilizer that takes out half a building and you can buy that anywhere. It's much more easier to buy and causes a lot more damage than a grenade, think about that before you vote for Texasgurl, I don't believe she understands that. Smiley

I understand perfectly well what it means.
it's a hell of a lot easier to hide a grenade in your pocket than 3 tons of ammonium nitrate.
the point is we should not be making it easier for any whacko to get weapons designed to kill multiple persons,there is absolutely no reason for anyone to carry around explosives.

Which is why we should change the jail system for punishment and rehabilitaion so they don't go back. Teaching children would also help eliminate the problem for the most part.

I have never slashed funding for children. Stop using Conservative stereotypes(sp?) against me. It should be family and a school problem. Schools in areas with this kind of problem should be drilling this into the kids heads along with afterschool support groups that can help people out as well!

That's not entirely slashing funding for children. I wouldn't slash education funding unless it was outlandish and pushing up the deficit way to much.

Seriously, I think if these grenades are to be banned, then it would only empower criminals by offering them grenades on the black market.  That said, anybody who really wants to can find the information off some Anarchist Cookbook to try using crude materials to create a bomb.  This bomb would probably be more dangerous since the creator probably doesn't have much expirience with explosives.
